The campaign will continue to promote Nepal in international arena through its line agencies such as Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad, I/NGOs, airlines, and national and international media, NRN community and Nepal’s friends and well-wishers.

After well known historical revolution, Nepal is targeting to progress in country economy within this decade. The major concern of Nepal is to improve people living standard as soon as possible. For that Nepal can cash tourism industry to grow economy and eliminate poverty. That’s why government has realized the potential of tourism industry in the development of nation. Knowing all these facts, Government has announced Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
What are the objectives of NTY 2011?
Objectives of the campaign
1. Establish Nepal as a choice of premier holiday destination with a definite brand image,
2. Improve and extend tourism related infrastructures in existing and new tourism sites,
3. Enhance the capacity of service renders,
4. Build community capacity in the new areas to cater the need of the tourists, and
5. Promote domestic tourism for sustainability of the industry.
Why Nepal?
The natural scenery, high mountains, incomparable cultural heritage and numerous specialties have made Nepal a well-known destination in the world tourism map with a distinct image of its own. However, the development of tourism is limited in number and within the certain areas of the country only.
Nepal has many things to offer. Its grandeur geography, diverse nature, wonderful art & culture, historical monuments, hospitable people and higher mountains always magnetize thousands of travelers in Nepal. Through out the country, tourism activities are possible from normal to adventurous one.
Kathmandu valley offers unique stone work which is easily seen in the street of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Tourists stop and admire a masterpiece of stone sculpture in Nepal. Some of them are in the National Museum Art gallery, others in the different locations in Kathmandu valley.
